Too afraid to confront unrepentant wives, modern pastors and counselors are complicit in the destruction of marriages and families.
So what do we do about it?
Time after time, the deadly alliance of the white knight and the reviling wife has played itself out, leaving much devastation in its wake.
The default programming of feminism in our culture is fueling a nationwide epidemic—an epidemic that is exploding marriages and decimating families.
The cast of characters:
Bludgeoned and punished by his wife’s reckless words and emotional manipulation, the husband is actually an upright man.
Despite accusation, he has tried desperately to be kind, gentle, and humble enough to convince his wife to respect him. He loves his wife and children and doesn’t know what to do to save his marriage.
Bravely rescuing damsels in distress, the modern pastor defends her against many imagined dragons of misogyny and “abuse.”
He is willfully blind to the sins of the wife—after all, only dragons confront women, right? And everyone knows that women hardly ever sin compared to men.
Rebellious, recalcitrant, cruel, unforgiving, and unrepentant, she refuses even the simplest forms of submission to her husband. She has traded respect for reviling, domination for submission.
Over time, she even turns the children against their own father, permanently and tragically severing relationships.
